We really started developing BlueBrain for use in high speed line following racing and wanted to create a Scalextric style racing game. But once we create the first version of BlueBrain (using RFDuino modules), we realized the amazing potential of the hardware we have developed. Using BlueBrain and 3D printing (or Laser cutting) you can pretty much create any robot you want. Having a live communication link (bluetooth, in our case) makes it considerably easy to program and debug the robots. With the new BlueBrain design, we have paid special attention to make it easier to connect actuators and sensors.
