I finally got my Cannybot assembled after a mishap with 3D files... I had the old ones and the new ones were broken on GitHub.
Now what? I got the iOS app, but I can't pair it via bluetooth. What do I need to do to get it working? Do I need to hook it up via microUSB to a computer or an arduino?
I'm confused. The instructions for assembly were ok, but there are no instructions for the software.
Also, I put in the battery. When I flip the switch, nothing happens. Is that right? I can't tell if it's on or not.
Thanks for any help!
The bot comes preloaded with a line following sketch and should light up when switched on.
Can you post a pic of the bot showing the board, wiring and battery please?
There are software instructions on the forum, but I must admit there currently isn't a single (sign posted) entry point to get started, once your Cannybot is alive I can help with that.
All the best
If you connect the bot to a PC via a mini USB cable and toggle the switch, does it light up?
I've put up a "Getting started with the software" post; which I hope helps makes things a bit clearer, the plan is to expand it over time.
You can navigate to the post from here:
Please can you let us know about your experience of the way in which the files on github were broken so we can fix it?
It does light up when connecting to a computer via USB.
I just tried to download the 3D printing files again and they did work this time. Last time, when I right clicked them and donwloaded, they were only 30 kb and didn't load, so I used the older files and printed them out. I guess the descriptions on GitHub also threw me off "updated version" and I didn't know why there were three versions.
